Art For Hire

The Edge Arts Centre has purchased a number of pieces of art work since our first exhibition in 2003. We are now making these available for hire to those who have subscribed to our Friends of The Edge programme. This is an opportunity to enjoy original pieces of art by local artists, and further support The Edge.

Renting art is quite common in the corporate world, where it is used to complement a corporate image or an interior design style. We are adapting this to a more personal application, based on an enjoyment of particular artworks. If you decide that you want more of the artwork, in many cases we can put you in touch with the artist and a commission may be possible.

It costs £20 per annum to be a Friend of the Edge. You may then hire our art work to enjoy at home or at your place of work. The full list of art work is available in hard copy or can be browsed here. Here you can have a closer look at the work and read an artist’s statement. You can also find out how much it will cost to hire a piece for a period of between one and twelve months. Fees are calculated on a scale based on the purchase value of the piece.
