Adrian McNally

Following successes with their recordings Here’s the Tender Coming (2009) and Last (2011), the Mercury-nominated Tynesiders, Rachel and Becky Unthank, return to where they began, playing with their core creative quintet, for a more intimate and personal experience, after touring with a ten-piece ensemble. The Unthanks see folk as an ongoing unwritten history, rather than a wholly traditional style of music, and this is reflected in some unconventional influences and arrangements.
